One person has died following a head-on crash on West Dorothy Lane in Moraine, according to police. A second person was transported to an area hospital, but their condition was not immediately known. Additional details about the crash were not available. We’ll update this page as we learn more.
Police are looking for information after a man was shot and killed in Springfield. Officers responded to the 400 block of West Mulberry Street, near South Yellow Springs Street, on reports of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found a man dead from a gunshot wound. Police say the call came from one address and evidence as found at a nearby home.
A firefighter that was reported to be down at the scene of a house fire in Darke County was checked on scene by a medic and is expected to be alright, fire officials said. The firefighter is back in service at the scene of the fire in the 1400 block of Preble County Butler Township Road.

Police are working to identify a man who attacked an employee and robbed a gaming house at gunpoint. On January 5, 2018, around 10:46 a.m. the suspect followed the owner of Jax Gaming House as he opened his store, pulled out a gun, and demanded money. The suspect then pistol-whipped the owner in the head and forced him into an office where he had to open a cash drawer.
A woman was seriously burned after a apartment fire in East Westwood Saturday evening. Cincinnati Fire crews responded to Silverbirch Apartments shortly after 9 p.m. for reports of a fire. When authorities arrived, they found a 65-year-old woman who had been critically burned. The victim was taken to UCMC and was displaced by the fire.
Two hikers have been located and rescued after being reported missing Saturday, according to Warren County dispatchers. Emergency crews responded shortly after 1:30 p.m. to Casear Creek State Park on a report of hikers injured and missing.
Three people are in custody after a large drug bust in Perry County. Deputies and agents with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority executed a search warrant at an apartment at 200 W. Water St. in New Lexington on Friday. Authorities found large amounts of heroin and methamphetamine in the apartment along with drug packing equipment and an undisclosed amount of cash.

A shooting in the 2700 block of Thomas Street left one man dead Thursday and one sought for the homicide in East Wynnton, Columbus police said. Darnell Jackson, 38, of Phenix City was pronounced dead at 8:03 p.m. in the emergency room at Midtown Medical Center, said Muscogee County Chief Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley. Jackson’s body will be transported to the crime lab in Decatur for an autopsy
Two kidnapping robbery incidents that happened close to one another in Cleveland have police investigating. According to officers, both incidents involved a similarly described suspect and happened during the same time of day. Police are looking for the suspect, who may be the same is both of these cases
A homicide investigation is underway after a man found dead in a Mt. Airy alley overnight appears to have been shot, Cincinnati police confirmed. First responders were called to the alley off Colerain Avenue and Ammon Avenue about 1 a.m. Friday when a civilian reported seeing a body, police said. Officers said they found the victim, who appears to be a young man, with gunshot wounds.

A child was rushed to the hospital after being hit by a car early Thursday morning in Westwood. It happened on Montana Avenue near Mustang Drive. According to police, the child has serious injuries.
A 34-year-old man was shot multiple times just before midnight Wednesday in Sycamore Township. Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies were called to the 4500 block of Elizabeth Place at 11:57 p.m. for the report of shots being fired in the area. They found Brandon Caddell, 34, shot multiple times.

A four-year-old boy was hospitalized Monday night after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a juvenile asking for a ride Monday evening and located a 14-year-old male walking South on 130th Street. According to CRSO, he had left his residence and said he needed a ride to Pittsburg because his brother had been shot.
